What is the date of the SG Run 2019?

What time does the race start? 
5km Fun Run at 5:00pm

10km Individual event at 6:30pm

21km Individual event at 6:00pm

32km Individual event at 6:00pm

 

How can I register and when is the closing date?
Online registration is available HERE. Online registration will close on Sun, 6 October 2019 at 12 midnight or when we reach our registration cap whichever happens sooner.

 

What are the entry fees? 

Individual

5km Early bird : $38

5km Normal : $48

10km Early bird : $48

10km Normal : $58

21km Early bird : $58

21km Normal : $68

32km Early bird : $63

32km Normal : $73

 

The race is capped at 3,000 entrants and once that number of registrants is reached, the 2019 race will be closed.

 

What is the minimum age requirement for this event? 

Runners have to be 7 years old and older to participate in the 5km Fun Run and 16 years and above in order to participate in the 10km, 21km & 32km

 

What are the types of payment available? 
We accept VISA or Master Card via online registration through PayPal. Cheque will be accepted through mail although this is not the preferred method of payment. When paying by cheque, please issue cheque payable to Epic ESR Pte Ltd and mail it to 24 Ubi Road 4, #04-04 Singapore 408612. Do you send out confirmation emails?
Those who have provided us an email address will receive a confirmation slip via email.

 

What is my race bib number? 
Race bib numbers will be assigned to every runner and will only be made known to runners during Race pack collection.

 

Do you give refunds if I can’t make the race?

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our on-line registration application and when you register for any of our events you must agree to this policy. You may not give or sell your race bib number to another individual. If you do this, you as well as the runner who uses your race bib number will be disqualified. The entry fee for the 2019 event is not transferable to next year’s event, no exceptions. These policies stay in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page.

 

  • Is there an age requirement for the 5Km? Yes, you must be 7 years and above for 5 km race.

  • Is there an age requirement for the 10Km, 21Km and 32km? Yes, you must be 16 years and above for 10km, 21km and 32km race.

  • Can I run the race without registering? No, all runners without race bibs will be directed off the course immediately.

 

PRE-RACE

Where/when do I pick up my race kit? 
You will pick up your race kit which consists of your race bib number, timing chip and event singlet at the Race Expo.

 

Where is the Race Expo Collection? 
Venue : Marina Square (Link Bridge Atrium)

Date :  12 & 13 Oct 2019
Time : 11am to 7pm

 

What must I bring to the Race Expo?
Please bring along your photo ID (NRIC, Passport or Driving license), a copy of the confirmation email (we accept digital copy), authorization form duly completed and signed if you are collecting on behalf of participants.

 

What if I can’t make it to the Race Expo to collect my race kit?
You may download an authorization form from this website and ask a family member or friend to collect the race kit on your behalf.

 

What if no one can collect the Race Kit on my behalf? 

You are strongly encouraged to collect during the Race Pack Collection dates. Alternative collection date will be on the event day itself, however we do not encourage that. 

 

Do you have race day pick up? 
Yes, but we do not encourage this as it may delay your start time. This service normally reserved for runners who are not residing in Singapore.  If you are picking up your race kit on race day, please proceed to the Information booth at least 1 hour  to 1.5 hours before the designated start time for your event.

 

Can you mail me my race kit? 
No, we do not provide mailing service for race kits, all participants must pick up their race kit at the Race Expo.

 

RACE

 

Where does the race start and finish? 
The race starts and ends at Gardens by the Bay East at Rhu Cross, next to Passion Wave @ Marina.

How do I get to the race venue? 

Good News ! Free shuttle service from Stadium MRT station CC6 - Exit B

By Train : MRT Circle line, alight at the Stadium MRT station CC6 Exit B.  Free shuttle bus service from Stadium MRT station CC6 to Gardens by the Bay East at Rhu Cross    <------>   (Return shuttle service between Stadium MRT & Gardens by the Bay East will run from 3:30pm to 11:30pm on a first come first serve basis)


By Bus : Bus number 11 & 158. Alight outside Costa Rhu Condo and follow the map provided in this website to walk to the race venue


By Car : There are very limited parking at Gardens by the Bay East. The nearest pubic carpark other than the one at Bay East is at Kallang indoor stadium and the surrounding open carpark near Kallang leisure park.

By Taxi / Private Hire Car : Inform the taxi driver that Gardens by the Bay East is at Rhu Cross next to Costa Rhu Condominium & Passion Wave @ Marina, enter via Tanjong Rhu Road.

 

What if I miss the flag off time? 
The course will close 15 minutes to 20 minutes after the official flag off time. The 5km will close at 5:20pm sharp, 21km and 32km will close at 6:15pm sharp and 10km will close at 6:50pm sharp. No one will be allowed to start after the starting cut off time.

 

Is the SG Run 2019 a certified course? 
No, this course has not been certified. 

 

Is there a time limit to complete the race? 
Yes, the cut off time for 5km (2 hours after official flag off), 10km ( 3 hours after official flag off ), 21km (4 hours after official flag off time) and 32Km (5 hours after official flag off time).

 

What can I do if I do not meet the race cut off? 
Due to road closures and park usage restrictions, course cut off will be implemented. Shuttle service will be provided for runners who cannot make the race cut off and pick up point will be at the nearest aid station. If you wish to drop out halfway and do not wish to return to the end point, please inform any of the race officials or volunteers so that we are aware of your decision to DNF (did not finish). This is for safety purpose.

 

Is there prize money for winners who competes in the 10Km, 21Km and 32km event? 

No prize money, only trophies will be given to the top 3 runners in each of the race categories.

 

How to you pick the winners?

The ‘Gun Time’ will be considered to determine the winners for all categories.

 

How will my time be recorded? 
The SG Run event will be using Timing Chips secured to the shoe lace. Each Timing chip is checked for functionality before distribution. The Timing chip is always 'ON' and need not be activated. You can dispose the chip after the race.

 

What is the timing chip for and what do I do with it?
The timing chip is used to track and capture your run time. You do not need to return your chip after the event. Please note that if you do not have the timing chip, you will not have an official time.

 

Are walkers permitted? 
Yes, walkers and race walkers are allowed, however walkers are required to start near the end of the pack to avoid being crowded or bumped by the faster participants and slower runners are encouraged to stay on the left side of the race route.

 

Are skates, skateboards, bicycles, e-scooters or carriages of any kind allowed on the SG Run course? 
No, if you are caught on the SG Run course with any of these, you will be directed off the course and be disqualified immediately.

 

COURSE SUPPORT

How many aid stations will you have?
There will be sufficient aid stations, water and sports drinks will be offered at all the aid stations and they are approximately 2km to 3km apart. As much as possible you are encouraged to be self-sufficient as individual preference & suitability for nutrition defers.

 

Will there be paramedics and ambulances in the event of an emergency?
Yes, fully equipped ambulances and paramedics will be on standby along the race route and end point.

 

Is there a baggage check in facility and where is it located?
Yes, it will be located near the starting line.

 

What time will the finish line close and timing stopped?

Timing will be stopped after the official flag off time, the cut off time for 10km is 3 hours, for 21km is 4 hours and 32km is 5 hours respectively after the official flag off time.

 

Will there be food provided along the course?
No Food will be provided. You are encouraged to prepare and carry your own nutrition if you deemed necessary.

 

Do you have Pacers? 
No.

 

POST RACE

Do all participants receive finisher medals and finisher T-shirts?
All finishers within the race cut off time in the 10km, 21km and 32km event will receive a finisher medal and a UD SG Run finisher T-shirt each.  T-shirt sizes have to be pre-selected at the point of registration and no exchanges of Polo T-shirt will be allowed at the end point. 5km Fun Run finisher will only receive a finisher medal. 

 

Where can I collect my baggage after the race?
Collection of the baggage will be at the same location as the drop of. Any uncollected baggage will be stored at Epic ESR office for 14 days. The race organizer and management accept no responsibilities for lost baggage or any items left in our care.

 

When will the results be made available and will there be finisher certificates?
Your race result will be posted on our website after the race. Official results and an Electronic Finisher Certificate will be made available to all finishers within 14 days after the race on the event website.

 

OTHER

How can I purchase photos from SG Run 2019?
As this is an evening / night race and due to low lighting condition, no official photographs will be taken, however we will still engage photographers to take photographs of the event and it will be uploaded onto our Facebook Page.
